La Paz del Caribe Bed and Breakfast is located about a 10-minute leisurely bike ride from the main town of Puerto Viejo. There are many restaurants and bars located along the strip from Manzanillo to Puerto Viejo for you to enjoy and explore. Our beach is a short 4-minute walk and the street is lit at night. You can walk to the town of Puerto Viejo along the beach if you prefer.

GETTING THERE & AROUND

​The main town of Puerto Viejo is the known destination. Small communities dot the coast only minutes away from each other. Cocles the community in which the property is nestled is only minutes away from Puerto Viejo.

Traveling to Puerto Viejo from San Jose can be completed by bus, private shuttle or shared shuttle. The trip is 4-5 hours depending on the traffic. During the trip you will travel into high mountain areas and view the dense jungle that seems to go on forever.
